Some Iraqi kid living in Sweden solved a math problem that has stumped mathematicians for 300 years.

Buncha morons. It’d’ve only taken me 200 years to solve it.

I have mixed feelings about THIS. On the one hand it’s nice to see people you despise so thoroughly diminished. On the other hand you hate to see a different rival succeed.

The Incredible Shrinking Clintons

By Dick Morris

Asked why he was naming some of his rivals to top administration jobs, President Lyndon B. Johnson said it best: “I’d rather have them inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in.” President Obama seems to echo Johnson’s management style in his handling of Bill and Hillary Clinton. By bringing them into his inner circle, he has marginalized them both and sharply reduced their freedom of action.

It may appear odd to describe a secretary of State as marginalized, but Obama has surrounded Hillary with his people and carved up her jurisdiction geographically. Former Sen. George Mitchell (D-Maine) is in charge of Arab-Israeli relations. Dennis Ross has Iran. Former U.N. Ambassador Dick Holbrooke has Pakistan and Afghanistan. And Hillary has to share her foreign policy role on the National Security Council (NSC) with Vice President Biden, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, CIA chief Leon Panetta, and NSC staffer Samantha Powers (who once called Hillary a “monster”).

With peers who are competitors and subordinates who can deal directly with the president, Hillary is reduced to announcing foreign aid packages for Pakistan while Holbrooke does the heavy lifting.

The article goes on and details what the Clintons have lost in terms of power, prestige and fund-raising capabilities.

It was never a mystery to me why Obama picked Hillary. What was a mystery is why people who call themselves political observers even had to ask. At least Dick Morris is as smart as me.

What was an even bigger mystery was why people who were as cagey and power-hungry as the Clintons accepted. Hillary could have stayed in the senate served far more effectively as a foil. She could have denounced  his passive genocide of the Israelis, his war with America’s national security apparatus, the profligate spending and even healthcare reform by claiming her plan was always the smarter but untried plan. Right now she looks like the country bumpkin that went to the big city and got took by them there city sickers. I can only assume her pride got in the way when the shiny title of SecState was dangled in front of her and she woefully underestimated the new guy.

Part of me dreams that Hillary is cut-throat enough to wait until the Iranian or some other issue comes to a head only to see her call a press conference and announce her resignation in protest claiming the president’s policy is dangerously naive. The shitstorm that would be spawned by such a move would rage for a good while. Of course she would be unemployed after that but she could keep her face on the Sunday talk shows, campus lecture and other venues until a new senatorial campaign comes along. The PUMA’s would cheer her on while the Obamatons would make sure the schism only grew deeper all the while the Republicans could be revived enough to actually mount a response to–well–something! The crises in Iran, North Korea and Pakistan are tailor-made for such a gambit. Gosh I hope Hillary reads this blog…she seems to have enough time on her hands these days.

Hey, I can dream, can’t I?

Jews: They Make Progressives Nervous

•May 29, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Wikileaks is a predominantly Progressivist site that delights in spilling secrets. If only they had been around during the Clinton years maybe we could have made some real progress.

Anyhoo, I tripped over THIS today during an unrelated web search:

Coleman’s database: lots and lots of Jewish names

From Wikileaks

March 16, 2009

By Joe Bodell (MN Progressive Project)

I couldn’t resist: I poked into Norm Coleman’s supporter database, made publicly available by the Coleman campaign itself and subsequently provided for public consumption by Wikileaks.org.

I’m not going to provide the database, or any links deeper than to Wikileaks’ homepage, from which you can confirm what I found on your own. But the disclaimers aside, the headline says it all.

Campaigns are required to track the source of records like these — since they buy, lease, and otherwise borrow lists from various organizations, it’s important (and legally required) to note where you got a given name from. Most campaign databases will include a column called “Source” or something similar to denote this piece of information.

And Coleman’s database includes just such a column. One of the codes in that column is “gopjew_091307” — and there are over 20,000 of them.

Coleman is Jewish, as is his Democratic opponent Al Franken. But of 50,000 names in the database, over 20,000 from a single list, brought to the campaign September 13th, 2007?

Dog forbid a group of people vote in their own interests. We’re left to guess how the MN Progressive Project(ile Vomitus) feels about 96% of blacks voting for the half-non-white guy at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Nor have they reported how many Jews donated to Franken (Yes, but those are our Jews!). What really matters is that you walk away feeling as if the non-Progressive is a thrall of World Zionist, LLC.

Not to worry. Obama knows how to deal with those pesky Zionists:

Administration blocks helicopters for Israel due to civilian casualties in Gaza

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has blocked Israel’s request for advanced U.S.-origin attack helicopters.

Government sources said the administration has held up Israel’s request for the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter. The sources said the request was undergoing an interagency review to determine whether additional Longbow helicopters would threaten Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

“During the recent war, Israel made considerable use of the Longbow, and there were high civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip,” a source close to the administration said.

The sources said Israel has sought to purchase up to six new AH-64Ds in an effort to bolster conventional and counter-insurgency capabilities. They said Israel wants to replenish its fleet after the loss of two Apache helicopters in the 2006 war with Hizbullah.

It really sucks when people who dress their infant children up as suicide bombers get killed. No word yet if the administration will be suspending sales of Predator drones to itself as a consequence of recent civilian casualties in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Water, Water Every Where

•May 29, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink ;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.

If you’ve been tracking the news lately Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D – Niedermeyer Plastic Surgery Center) decided to fan the flames of war with the CIA as Pres. Obama is trying to stamp out the very same flames he ignited by his equivocation on Enhanced Interrogation Techniques and whether or not those who formulated the policies and employed the techniques are criminally liable. So disasterous was her venture she recently fled to the People’s Republic of China to seek political asylum, where she talked–not about their human rights record or whether or not anything could be done to stop America’s economic hemorrhage–but how every facet of our lives must be inventoried in the name of global warming.

It was little more than a cheap publicity stunt on the president’s part, seeking to curry points with his unhinged base while distracting the rest of us from his efforts to co-opt ever-increasing swathes of the American economy. But, as he soon learned: little children shouldn’t play with matches. The CIA leaked and Cheney squeaked and national polls suggest almost two-thirds of the American public is pretty comfortable with the idea of water-boarding Khalid Sheik Mohammed. They’re only real beef with the process is why there wasn’t a national lottery to pay down the national debt where the winner gets to hold the water hose.

We’re told that water-boarding KSM yielded vital intelligence that saved thousands of lives…in Los Angeles no less; and it is here we are asked whether so-called torture is morally or legally acceptable.

I wish to answer the progressives of the world with a resounding: NO!

NO! I would not have water-boarded KSM to stop a plot to attack Los Angeles…but that’s only because I don’t think LA is worth the price of running tapwater. The stagnant cesspool that gave us Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Perez Hilton, George Clooney et al deserves to be laid bare to the very people they claim are victims of the US. Let kindred spirits unite; in flaming wreckage if need be. After all, Hell is little more than the Heaven the ungodly fashion for themselves. If it had been me and I had broken KSM to learn LA was the target I would have walked-out the door, leaving it open and pretending the whole conversation had never happened. One less liberal city, the rest of California would flip to a red state and we can get on to real business. It’s a win-win-win situation.

OK. OK. I’m joking…

Mostly.

But as these merry fools continue to live out their idle lives unmolested only by the grace of men and women better than themselves they continue to impugn what those men and women have done and they continue to look to one man—the president—to deliver their judgments for him. Unfortunately the president still has to look tough on something other than pushing around corporate executives of heavily unionized industries otherwise people might start noticing a trend so in that regard he continues to push heavily on the war in Afghanistan; the ONLY campaign promise he has yet to break (in all fairness it’s only Friday).

You see, Afghanistan is the only good war at the moment (unless you’re Bill Ayers—oops! Sorry, I’m name-dropping). It’s the one war the Progressives will support, albeit begrudgingly, because they know if they don’t they’ll lose all political credibility on matters of national defense. “But,” they say with high dudgeon, “Just because we support prosecuting the war in Afghanistan/Pakistan do not take that to mean we will countenance the use of torture.”

To reinforce this mantra Pres. Obama has announced that while military tribunals will continue, even at Guantanamo, evidence obtained through water-boarding or the infamous “pink-belly” technique is inadmissible; although hearsay evidence is now allowed. Yes, that’s right; your father’s brother’s cousin’s ex-girlfriend’s former roommate’s statements can be used against you. Fortunately it seems the worst that can happen to you upon conviction is you’ll be released into the US and be required to live on a government stipend…but I digress.

The war in Afghanistan is being prosecuted with ever-increasing vigor. More importantly, the strikes against Al Qaeda hold-outs are also increasing even with seeming absolute disregard to collateral damage incurred because the cowards insist on hiding amongst women and children (It’s a good thing the president isn’t Israeli) and this is my point: we are targeting people based on our working knowledge of Al Qaeda’s internal organization. Yet, that knowledge was gleaned from water-boarding Zabaydah, Ramsi Binalshib and KSM. We were blind to their structure prior to these sessions; Cheney and the CIA memos have said as much.

Never mind the fact water-boarding continues this very day: it is used on every Special Forces candidate going through SERE training…or the next crop of liberal idiots water-boarding each other so they can sit up and tell us how horrible it was for them before going back to their water bongs. President Obama single biggest act of dishonesty in this whole sordid affair is the fact that he is having people killed based on intelligence derived from water-boarding.

Killed.

As in: Killed.

Not tried before three military officers with representative council and a hearing of evidence and counter-argument; killed, period, end of story, no appeals, no parole, usually surrounded by non-combatants.

It’s one thing to preen one’s moralist feathers in front of the cameras…it’s something entirely different to be a plucked chicken strutting like a peacock. Somebody needs to call the president on his hypocrisy before his over-politicized, unprincipled showmanship costs us something of genuine value and not just Los Angeles.

Hello world!

Welcome to my inaugural post.

Now bugger-off.

You may as well leave now because you will definitely want to leave before too long. This blog is dedicated to discussing what passes as discussion in the modern world. In reality people tend to hear things and then take the path of least mental resistance. They say insipid things like:

  • God is too cruel and uncaring…so let’s believe in Darwin!
  • Racism is bad, let’s fix it with quotas.
  • People who cannot control their behavior are legally competent

The fact is: there’s some really stupid crap out there that should be self-evident if only given 30 seconds of thought…if only. Well, I would like to disabuse people of these fallacies by abusing said fallacies as much as possible. And abusive it will get. Malicious, vulgar, sadistic, grinning abuse. If you aren’t offended then one of us isn’t thinking hard enough. In formal academic circles the technique is known as argumentum ad absurdum: taking another’s argument and expanding it to its absurd conclusion. Since life is pretty absurd as it is I see no reason to add to that absurdity.

Well…here goes nothing (that’s a nihilism pun).
